Paras Papad was founded in 1989 by Mr. Parasmal H. Jain in Old Prakasha Road, Shahada. After earning his MBA from Pune University, Mr. Jain decided forayed into entrepreneurship and business. Gradually, Mr. Jain’s family also joined in. In 1991, Mr. Jain’s wife, Adv. Mrs. Smita P. Jain, joined the business and played a key role in designing policies for the company, which primarily employed female workers.
In 1990, the company began producing papad, and in 2000, it added a range of spices to its product line, including mirchi powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Initially, all processes were done manually. The company’s main goals were to create high-quality and tasty food items and to provide employment opportunities for women.
As the company evolved a success story, the demand multiplied. The increase in the production capacity became necessary. In 2005, a new plant was opened at Mohida Road, Shahada, equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
The handmade Paras Papads come in a variety of flavours, including udid papad, mung papad, chana papad, sada papad, and disco papad. The highest quality raw materials used for spice production are sourced from the Indian market and totally quality controlled. All the products are available in varied range of packaging including 20g to 10kg.
Paras Papad believes in the strength of women and strives to give wings to its dreams. The company regards women as vital manpower and 80% of the company’s workforce are women.
